I’m a long term professional wildlife photographer and writer amongst many other things based in the south of England. I’ve been lucky to have had an eclectic life full of amazing experiences, many of them in the wild around the world. I can’t get enough of travel and learning.
I’ve always been a barefoot, outdoorsy sort of person and love nothing more than being immersed in the thick of it. The natural world and this planet fascinates me.
I trained as a zoologist at Cardiff University and specialised in mammalian scent marking behaviour during my PhD at Nottingham University in the 90s. Since then I’ve worked for numerous wildlife conservation organisations both on the ground and in communications.
My heart lies in telling stories of the natural world in whatever format that takes. I love photography of course (it’s definitely in the genes) but I also love to read about it, hear about it, smell it and touch it. I love to hear the experiences of others which can help us appreciate it in other ways. I love history and culture too, people are just as fascinating.
I’ve always had dogs in my life and working cocker spaniels in particular, yep owners are like their dogs!
